Happy Holidays! Are you feeling Foxy, Frisky and Feisty for the season? My Holiday mood started as soon as I saw a the holiday lights being put up around town, in mid October. Are you ready for the stress and the mess that comes with it? Oh, I am!
What a wonderful problem to have, having so many loved ones to fuss over when it comes to presents; who is hosting what at their house; and the pounds of carbs I plan on shoving down my gullet, as I complain about it. AHHH, the good life.
Of course, we all have our ways to keep from going mad around the holidays. I am no expert by any means, so take my words with a grain of salt, preferably from the rim of a margarita glass. But here are the five best tips I plan to put into use to make sure it will be another wonderful holiday.
NO NEW FRIENDS. April 1st was my cut off. Tryouts start again after Valentine's Day. This alleviates so many problems, from being asked to go to random events, to buying extra gifts for people you really don't know.
MONEY AND GIFT CARDS. My sister despises cash and certificates as gifts. She said it's lazy, and it shows you don't care about the person to get them something they like. I LOVE money, on the other hand. Money spells freedom. I can get EXACTLY what I want, when I want. I don't have to pretend I like ugly gifts people give me, or give them away. And with money and certificates, it saves me time trying to find the perfect gift.
Gift Bags. I do not like trying to wrap gifts. And why am I spending my hard-earned money on wrapping paper for it to be ripped up and thrown in the trash? No, I will be using gift bags, and asking for the bags to be returned, so I can use them next year. LOL.
NO LIVING GIFTS, PLEASE! Anything that relies on me to keep it alive is NOT what I want for a gift. Pets and flowers are a big no, unless that person specifically asks for those types of gifts. Responsibility doesn't equate to happiness, no matter how you wrap it.
MOXIE'S CLOSET. Buy something from your favorite store in the entire world, Moxie's Closet. I'll be adding cool unisex t-shirts this week. Until then, visit my store and have a look around at the great stuff that's already there.
I just opened the shop a few months ago because I am always getting compliments about the suits I wear on stage. So I came up with the idea of adding a shop to my website. It was one of my resolutions for 2024, and I did it!! Do you have any resolutions this year? If so, let me know! I am so interested in hearing what everyone else is doing. And let me know what steps you are making to get ready for the holidays. Stay Foxy!
Moxie!
