I have been searching for the woman I see in the mirror. AND SHE IS FINALLY HERE! I would have met her year earlier. But meeting her meant letting go of the past. I hesitated when it was time to past the baton to her. I wanted to hold onto my past, and her at the same time. But there is no way ANYONE could possibly win a marathon that way. Once I did let go, she took off!
Swoosh! She ran passed everything that (I thought) was holding me back. And she arrived to the finish line, breaking my old record.
