Music, Healing, and the Stage

It would be an understatement to say that my life is wrapped around the stage. It has been my safety net with every crisis I have survived. From escaping the cult to escaping an abusive relationship... the stage gave me a reason to keep breathing, living.
Music is therapeutic. Music encompasses every human experience that has ever existed. Whatever we are going through, there is always a song that fits the situation, explains the feeling and complicated emotions.
And everyone can relate somehow. I don't know how many people have not experienced the emotions of "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. Her version digs deep into our soul, and her vocals cry for us. I can see and feel that connection when I am on stage and looking into the audience. Dare I say it's like group therapy? Knowing we are not alone in our experience. What an addictive experience to be a part of. Can you relate?
The greatest magic about it is that no matter what's going on in the world, my Foxy's and I relate on a level that doesn't come from religion, politics, social media outlets... but from love. Our connection is something that has grown over time, globally. Through music, we uplift, relate, and love each other one musical note at a time. Until we meet again, stay Foxy!
Your Student, Teacher, and Friend,
