Tina keeps her name. and so will moxie!

"What's Love Got To Do With It"

She didn't care about the money, nor the material things she had accumulated over her time with Ike. She only wanted her name. As she said, she earned that name. Thank Goddess she made that decision, because her name will forever exist in the stars.

When I escaped the cult, I knew I wanted to rid myself of my father's name. He was a deadbeat father, who never thought twice about protecting his children. But that's a story for another blog. It took me a while to find the perfect name. I wanted to make sure it fit

who I was. When I came across Moxie, I KNEW it was my last name. I got it legally changed on my passport, ID, social security, and so on. And I vowed to NEVER change my name—not even in marriage.

Moxie; the spirit to endure trials and tribulations. I earned that name. The name chose me. I am Karmen Mulan Moxie.

Tina Turner's name, created through her own blood, sweat, tears, and music, earned her name. She didn't need anyone else to validate who she was. She had herself. A rose is, in fact, not a rose by any other name. The movie "What's Love Got to Do With It" is a MUST see. Make sure you check it out. Stay Foxy.
