Why I Started Traveling: Racing Against God

The generation of 1914 will not pass away before God destroys everyone who's not a Jehovah's Witness. This is what I was taught to believe since the day I was born. Michael Jackson's family was taught the same. And everyone who is not a Jehovah's Witness is bad association. So we weren't allowed to have friendships outside of the cult, even as adults. That's why he loved kids so much because his childhood was literally stolen from him. No birthdays, no Christmas, no associating with family who aren't Jehovah's Witnesses.

Jehovah's Witnesses have changed their beliefs about the generation of 1914 and have even tried to deny that that's what they used to teach. That's why I had to find the article online, because I know I didn't misunderstand that doctrine my entire life. Can you imagine what your life would be like if you thought you were going to be destroyed by God very soon? That's what started my addiction to traveling the world. I wanted to see as much as I could see before God killed me. I'm so glad Michael Jackson had music to save him. It has saved my life many times over.
