you are not alone. we are okay.

Updated: Oct 10, 2023

Love and Champagne, Foxys! The weekend is almost here. Are you ready for it? My entire week has been a weekend. I have done absolutely nothing, but stay in bed. I´ve been struggling with my sadness this week. But sadness don´t pay the bills. So, I tried to force myself a couple of times to engage in my work-week. I failed horribly. But when i realized today was Thursday, I was determined to get up and proceed with my day. I turned on some music, cleaned my house, took. a shower, and started working. I came close to crawling back into bed. But despite having several, mini crying moments, I pushed thru. Every tear that hit my face whispered "poor baby, crawl in bed", I didnt let them deter me. They eventually died down. And now I am sipping on calming tea, while writing a blog.

You may be wondering what sent me into a long-week-tizzy. But if i start venting on this blog, I will start crying. And I don´t want to go back down that rabbit hole. But I wrote this blog for those who need to hear this:

If you're battling sadness, you are not alone. It's a feeling that many of us experience, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. Please Don't punish yourself if you can't snap out of it; it's important to be gentle with your soul. It's very sacred territory, so tread lightly. Allow yourself a little time to grieve and process whatever is going on. Remember, you are loved and you will be okay.

The best remedy for me in situations like this, is to have a daily routine. It helps my mind to focus on something else. But if youre like me, you may not have a regular 9 to 5. We don´t worry about loosing our job, if we don´t show up because we work for ourselves. So we need to have something else to motivate us.

It doesn´t have to be some grandiose gesture or object. But whatever it is, make sure it keeps you motivated, and something that you really want. Whatever it is should make you feel like saying "Good job, Foxy!", when you reach your goal. It´s okay...treat yourself. You deserve it. Another thing that helps me get thru tough times are mantras. Here are a few of my favourites:

  • This too shall pass

  • Take it one hour at a time

  • You are loved

  • I am so proud of you

Great minds think alike. And if youre a Moxie´s Foxy...then we must have alot in common. Thats why I know that you´re a person that deserves to be happy and loved. You might be the kind of person with a big heart. So you feel deeply...passionately. Then honor your feelings, whatever they are. Don´t ignore them, including the sad ones. Let´s take care of ourselves, and each other. Stay Foxy!

Are You Okay?

  • yes

  • no

  • No, but I am working on it.
